Description:Company Information: Our client is a global and growing $400 million automotive supplier headquartered in Southeast Michigan. They are a market leader in their product arena with a footprint on four continents - designing, manufacturing and delivering product solutions to their customers. Your Role with the Company: The Program Manager is responsible for managing new products and engineering changes for assigned product and customers to assure on-time and on budget program launches, and to successfully manage all aspects of assigned customer relationships. Reports to: Director of Program Management Primary Duties and Responsibilities Manage new products and engineering changes for assigned products and customers to assure on-time and on budget launches via the establishment and monitoring of program timelines, open issues matrixes, budgets and advanced program quality planning status sheets. Lead new program APQP, and open issues meetings utilizing the appropriate TS 16949 procedures and work instructions. Lead launch teams to execute flawless product launches. Ensure effective supplier performance in the launch process. Act as customer representative and communicate customer requirements to organization. Required Attributes: Bachelor Degree Engineering or in a related area, or equivalent work experience Desired Attributes: 3+ years’ sales or engineering management experience 2 + years’ experience in the automotive program management Excellent project leadership, administration and problem solving skills Strong communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal communication skills; including the ability to facilitate meetings Solid understanding of timeline management Knowledge of advanced product quality planning (APQP) Must be customer focused and have excellent follow through in managing projects Applications software knowledge (spreadsheet and database) Understanding of TS 16949 requirements Understanding and working knowledge of OEM customer specific requirements
