Description:Company Information: doing business in the Greater Chicagoland market this Company has been marketing convenience items at gasoline facilities for almost a half century and serious about being the best convenience store in the eyes of the customer, competitors, and their employees. RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: Responsible for performing maintenance on carwashes, C- store equipment, be able to assess electronic and mechanical problems and complete repairs as required. Ensure the highest level of customer service; including but not limited to, timely repairs, quality workmanship, and prompt and accurate invoice completion. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and serviceability in all the carwash facilities. Ensure timely communication to both internal and external customers, and receive authorization to make the necessary repairs, when required . The Technician must be willing to attend on-going training to further professional development and to stay abreast of current trends in the car wash, petroleum and retail maintenance fields. Provide service and support, installation and troubleshooting as required on car wash systems, in-bay equipment and control systems. This includes high pressure water systems, pneumatic devices, electrical equipment, motors, control systems, and PLCs Fulfill preventative maintenance and inspection assignments. Perform any other duties that are assigned by management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Have a basic knowledge of carwash equipment a plus, excellent mechanical background a must. CLEAN DRIVING RECORD Class E Drivers License Willingness to work various days, evening, and to be available "on call" when necessary Must have excellent problem solving and decision making skills, ability to perform work with minimal or no supervision or assistance Demonstrated knowledge of equipment maintenance and OSHA regulations Ability to read wiring diagrams and trouble shoot electrical issues using a Volt/Ohm meter. Excellent communication skills required EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED: Technical school education preferred, but not required 2-4 years in maintenance with car wash equipment maintenance preferred Ability to interface between equipment and computer programs Ability to lift a minimum of 100lbs
