Background Profile: Recruit, interview, select, train and retain positive, enthusiastic employees, ensuring excellent customer service Develop, manage and assign tasks appropriately to ensure the store is clean, adequately stocked, organized and well- maintained based on established Company standards Schedule periodic on-going communication and/or meetings with all store employees and the Market Manager (including but not limited to) safety and food service safety, employment issues, policies, enhanced sales Schedule employees within Company guidelines to maximize customer service, sales and maintain store image Prepare on-going and timely performance appraisals in writing for all employees, providing proper performance based feedback Develop, coach employees and utilize the progressive documented discipline procedures to encourage, professional and developmental opportunities Ensure a safe workplace, train and ensure compliance on safety/food safety procedures and promote safety awareness Monitor workplace environment to assure legal and regulatory compliance Follow and ensure compliance with Company loss prevention and safety procedures including but not limited to , following the Company’s ‘Five-Minute Incident Notification Rule,’ wearing of protective gear for safety purposes, among others Ensure store cleanliness by conducting store walks and following up with employees to address concerns and counsel as necessary FINANCIAL Analyze daily sales and expense information and take appropriate action to maximize sales and net profits Budget and forecast Profit & Loss lines and understand and manage merchandise margins Safeguard and account for all money received and disbursed Perform all other financial analysis necessary to maximize sales and net profits Community Information: Seymour is a city in Jackson County, Indiana and often referred to as the "Crossroads of America" due to the north/south and east/west railroads intersecting downtown. The north/south line (the Jeffersonville, Madison and Indianapolis Railroad) was built in the 1840s and connected Indianapolis to the Ohio River at Jeffersonville. In 1852, Capt. Meedy Shields persuaded John Seymour into building the east/west railroad (the Ohio and Mississippi Railroad) through his land. In return, Shields named the area Seymour. Seymour is the birthplace of singer John Cougar Mellencamp, Miss America 2009 Katie Stam, retired professional wrestler Rip Rogers,his wrestling manager Manny (The Weasel) Valverde, and Robert Shields whose personal diary earned him a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.
