Description:COMPANY INFORMATION This company is currently operating more than 1,700 company owned convenience stores in over nineteen states. These convenience stores have a wide array of food offerings, a house blend of coffee, fountain and packaged beverages, a large selection of groceries, tobacco and alcohol. They believe in giving back to the communities they do business in by supporting local community causes and events including family crisis support and youth sporting events. YOUR ROLE WITH THE COMPANY The Divisional Marketing Manager will act as a liaison between the marketing and division operations to maximize sales in all division stores. The D. M. M. will be responsible for the merchandising of every store within their division and will be the division liaison to ensure proper products and services are available to meet market needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures clear communication on what is expected from marketing programs. Administers yearly or seasonal resets at the stores directed by the Category Manager or as needed. Lead liaison for the rollout of any new marketing programs. Assist Category Managers with distributions and shipments. Marketing lead for any acquisitions in the division. Responsible for local Wholesaler complications Category Manager for Lottery, DSD ICE, local vendor programs (i.e. Bait, Propane), and Carwashes for the division to include budget responsibility Divisional SNAP administrator to ensure compliance and identifying the correct stores are on the program. Divisional project manager for any marketing CAPX projects effecting the division. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of basic laws and regulations, Ex: Lottery, SNAP, Sign ordinances, etc. Strong PDI accounting software experience preferred Knowledge of Category Budgets and how to analyze financial statements. Favorable performance reviews with a proven record of accomplishment Valid Driver’s License Access to a car or other motorized vehicle with liability insurance on such vehicle Ability to frequently travel with approximately 9 overnight stays a month Strong Microsoft Office skills Great oral and written communication Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels Detail oriented with outstanding organizational and problem solving skills Overnight travel, as needed EXPERIENCE Operations background and 3-5 years convenience store experience (multi-unit plus) are required Demonstrated ability to train and implement programs COMMUNITY INFORMATION Richmond is the capital of the Commonwealth of Virginia in the United States.
