Description:Company Information: This company is currently operating more than 1,400 company owned convenience stores in over nineteen states. These convenience stores have a wide array of food offerings, a house blend of coffee, fountain and packaged beverages, a large selection of groceries, tobacco and alcohol. They believe in giving back to the communities they do business in by supporting local community causes and events including family crisis support and youth sporting events. Job Purpose: The District Manager is responsible for the financial and operational leadership responsibility for 10 - 12 retail convenience stores (24/7/365 operator) in a specific geographical area. The District Manager supports the company goals by focusing on personal accountability, customer service and work efficiency. Primary responsibilities include analyzing financial statements, merchandise reports, and other PDI reports for discrepancies, makes recommendations on ways to maximize profit, and corrects problem areas while controlling expenses. In this role you will also need to introduce and implement merchandising programs while maintaining awareness of competitive pricing and a good in-store merchandising image; monitors and reports vendor problems such as out-of-stock items and follow-up to ensure improvements are made. Additional key responsibilities include establishing revenue and expense objectives, implementation of marketing programs, and evaluation and growth of direct reports. Successful candidates will be a high energy leaders with a proven ability to recruit and develop high performance teams. Background Profile: Good communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels Good organizational skills Problem solving skills Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college preferred 2-5 years General Manager or Store Manager in a Travel Plaza, Convenience Store or Big Box Retail environment (Multi-unit is preferred) Successful candidates will be a high energy leaders with a proven ability to recruit and develop high performance teams. Experience in a PDI environment and food service considered a major plus.
